Eyelash extensions F.A.Q.
*What exactly are lash extensions?
- Lash extensions are applied one by one to your natural lashes to extend, darken and add volume. They will look very similar to your natural lashes, but better!
*What steps should you take before and after having them applied?
-Actually, you don't have to do anything! I prefer for you to come to your lash appointment makeup free, and ready to relax. That's about it!
*What's the difference between silk and mink?
-Silk is used for a more dramatic look. The silk lash has a beautiful shine, with a more lightweight feel and darker shading. Mink lashes are the lightest and softest extensions available. They make the lash appear lush and flirty!
*How long do they last?
-Medical grade, formaldehyde-free extension glue is meant to last four-to-six weeks. Typically, the natural lash will grow out and shed the extension before the glue gives out. I like to see clients every two-to-three weeks to reapply lashes that have grown out and give the lash line a thorough cleaning.
*Can you wear mascara or eye makeup while you have lash extensions? If so, can you use makeup remover?
-You can, but less is best. Mascara that is specifically formulated for lash extensions can be applied to the tips of the extensions. Oil-free eye makeup remover should be used to remove any makeup. Eye shadow and eyeliner can also be applied as long as it is oil-free and removed daily.
*Can you use a lash curler?
-No need! The extensions curl on their own.
*Can you do things like go swimming, take a shower or go to the gym?
-Yes, you can do all these things, but proceed with caution. It is recommended you wait 24-hours after application before you get the lashes wet, and 48-hours before exposing them to steam or saunas.
*Can extensions cause damage to your natural lashes?
-Damage only occurs if the lashes are not applied properly or you pull or tug them out yourself. It's important that you have them applied by a reputable lash artist.
*What are the do’s and don’ts while wearing them?
-Only use oil-free products; avoid pulling or tugging; keep the lashes clean and gently comb through them with a spoolie if they crisscross at all. And no waterproof makeup around the eye area!
*How are extensions removed?
-They grow out naturally and gradually, but if you decide that you don't want the remaining lashes, see your lash artist at Eye Love Lash for a removal. I will take them off easily without damaging your lashes!

Classic Set: $129
Classic set is the most traditional and natural looking form of eyelash extensions. We're talking a 1:1 ratio of one extension applied to one natural lash. This means we can only apply as many extensions as you have natural lashes. An extension cannot be placed where there isn't a natural lash! So, if you have sparse lashes and wish to fill out your lash line, classic eyelash extensions won't be the most suitable fit for you. You'll want to read on about Hybrid and Volume extensions. Now let's say you have a lot of natural lashes. You want to add some length, have a defined curl, and that look of mascara without the hassle of using mascara. Then classic eyelash extensions are definitely going to be for you.
Hybrid Set: $149
So what if you want a little more coverage, but aren't ready for full Volume? The answer is Hybrid eyelash extensions. This is a blending of both the Classic and Volume eyelash extension techniques. Volume fans and Classic eyelash extensions are intermixed to create a fuller lash line. If you feel like you have a good amount of lashes, but have a some gaps here and there, this mixed technique is perfect. Volume fans will fill in any gaps to create an even lash line. This gives a slightly fluffier appearance to the
lashes than straight Classic eyelash extensions.
RussianVolume Set: $179
This is a more technical technique where the technician takes 3-6 very thin eyelash extensions and makes them into a fan shape before applying to the natural eyelash. What happens when you when you apply these fans next to each other? You get a dense, fluffy set of lashes. For those with sparse lashes, when these fans overlap they cover any gaps in the lash line and create an illusion of having more lashes than you actually have. Classic eyelash extensions on a sparse lash line runs the risk of looking "spidery" which is a look none of us want. With Volume eyelash extensions, you can still achieve the look of fuller, darker and longer looking lashes. If Classic lashes don't quite do enough for you, Volume lashes most certainly will.
Mega Volume Set: $209
Mega Volume gives eyelashes the appearance of intense volume, fullness, and length. Great for those that love the DRAMA and appearance of a full face of makeup upon just waking up.
Strip Lash Look Set: $229
This eyelash extension style means your extensions are “applied by mixing long and short lashes.” This mixing is done in “graduated ‘spikes’ of lashes.” Women who go for this look want “slightly messy” or “staggered” extensions that appear full and thick. This eyelash extension look is fantastic if you are seeking to create volume with “dense natural lashes” such as Kim Kardashian or her sister Kylie Jenner. However, if your lashes are “sparse and fine” a staggered eyelash extension style is not the best choice. Your lashes will appear “too messy” and having this type of lash extension requires “density” of your natural lashes to work with. Celebrities who go for this staggered extension look also include J.LO. This look is often created with “strip lashes” that do not last as long as individual lash extensions.
